In 1988, TME began producing postformed kitchen countertops. Within only 5 years, we became the largest countertop manufacturer in Mexico, and some time later in Latin America. Since our inception, our mission has been to have a high-quality and service orientation, reliability, and a dedication to exceed our customers´ expectations, as well as a philosophy of constant innovation.

Once dominated the kitchen countertop market in Mexico, TME decided to expand our mission to another line of products: Cabinet Doors.

At the end of 1996 we began producing cabinet doors for the largest Mexican cabinet manufacturers with a small and versatile production line. In the summer of 1998 one of the world´s largest cabinet companies visited our plant during a local trade show. Despite the fairly small production capacity, our visitors noticed a well organized, aggressive, focused and efficient company with the potential of becoming their first outside source, in years, for wooden cabinet doors.

The fact that there wasn't much more potential volume in the Mexican market, and that our quality standards had to increase to meet demanding U.S. standards beyond the buying power of most of the domestic market we serviced at that moment, and our willingness to grow, TME made the important decision to focus, exclusively, in exporting its cabinet door production. Since then, we have successfully exported 100% of our capacity to prestigious U.S. companies, including three of the top six largest cabinet makers in the world, and tripled our production capacity.
